Can digital printing work for your business ?
The answer to this question is probably yes. Digital printing is suited for most print jobs, providing they are not "long run" as we call them in the trade. With today's modern Digital Press such as the Xerox 8000 illustrated here high quality print is achieved and backed up by Digital Printing's biggest benefit "SPEED". At Multicopy using our Xerox Digital Press we can produce high quality colour pinting in a matter of minutes rather than hour's when using the traditional Litho method. For short run's this will probably mean a substancial cost saving and will certainly decrease the production time. There are a wide range of paper stocks available including gloss and silk finishes, if you require NCR it's no problem. Our Digital Press is one of the first in the UK to be upgraded to print onto ordinary ncr paper enabling fast turn round of self carbonating sets and books in full colour.
We mention earlier "long run", it is possible to produce long runs very quickly on a Digital Press, for example 5000 a5 full colour leaflets would take less than 1 hour from start to finish. At this run length the cost between Litho and Digital print would be minimal, however to increase the print run would result in a higher unit cost than Litho print but if speed is the issue in most cases the cost is not.
