Xerox Digital Press Installation
Earlier this year Multicopy saw the installation of another Digital Press, this scheduled investment increased their position in the Digital Print Market dramatically. Adding a 1 hour service to the many options for print available at Multicopy has proved to be a wise move. Many new customers are attracted by this unique print solution that attracts not only distressed clients who have been let down by less capable suppliers but also people who just genuinely need a very fast quality print job producing. The Xerox Digital Press handles over 100k impresssions most months. Despite Multicopy having it's own resident engineer enabling 90% of breakdowns to be repaired within minutes we can confirm this is currently the most reliable piece of production Digital Equipment in use at our S2 premises.
NEW FOR 2008
Direct To Garment Printing
In July 2008 Multicopy installed one of the first T-Jet Blazer Pro direct to garment printers in the UK. This new technology allows full colour printing onto any colour garments with no transfers. Liquid ink is printed directly onto the garments. The machine produces an automatic white under base as used in screen printing to allow for bright vibrant colour images including pure white on black shirts. Until now this has only been possible using conventional screen printing, the problem is setup costs make it near impossible to produce short runs economically. The T-Jet Blazer Pro prints three shirts in one pass, these can be individual one off designs or part of a production run. An average print time is less than 1 minute for a light shirt and four minutes for a fully under based dark shirt. Typically a garment digitally printed on the T-Jet is higher quality with a screen printed feel but costing much less for print runs from 1 to 500.
Another benefit to direct to garment printing is limitless customisation, as no setup costs exist there is no penalty for making each garment individual with either a name or some type of variable data. But it doesnt end here ! The T-Jet can print onto any surface from fabric to breeze blocks, as long as it is no bigger than 450mm x 1150mm x 120mm deep it can print any image onto any surface. Golf balls are printed 60 at a time, mouse mats, canvases, jeans you name it we can print it.

On-line design
To compliment this new print service we have launched on-line garment design enabling customers to design there own t-shirts on-line. Full upload facilities allow corporate logo's & images to be included in the design.Text effects & manipulation are all drag & drop based making our service one of the most user friendly available.This streamlined service allows t-shirts to be designed, ordered & delivered to your door without leaving the office or armchair !
